Elyria Dive & Recovery Team

Elyria's Dive & Recovery Team have the difficult job of rescuing victims in our rivers and local bodies of water. They go through strenuous training and testing to qualify for Dive & Rescue Certification.  Training takes place in all weather conditions to simulate real rescues.  The icy Black River can be seen below as well as the indoor pool swim practice.  This is a valuable addition to the many safety services already provided by your local fire department.  Testing Standards
