Elyria-At-Risk!

The number of on duty firefighters has sunk to dangerously low levels. 

The national standard is 17

to fight a house fire. 

We are at 14, which caused this station to close.   

City Ordinance 137.01 requires staffing of 88 firefighters to deal with a city of our size.  We have sunk to 72 firefighters.
